Umbilical — Privacy Policy

In this policy, "Solfront" means the provider of Umbilical and "you" means the person using the application. A Japanese translation is available with the language switch at the top of this page. The English text is authoritative; where the two differ, the English text governs.

1. Principle

If you use the application without paying, Solfront collects no information about you of any kind. There is no account to register, no sign-in, no usage analytics, no crash reporting by Solfront, no advertising and no tracking.

If you pay for a subscription, Solfront holds the minimum needed to know that you have paid. That minimum is described in section 3. Everything else in this policy applies to both.

2. Information collected from free use

None. Solfront collects no name, no email address, no identifier, no usage statistics, no contents of the work you create, and no other information, by any means.

3. Information held for a subscription

Payment is processed by Stripe. From your point of view the seller is Link, Stripe's checkout service ("Sold through Link").

3.1 What Stripe holds

Stripe holds your email address, your payment details and your payment history. Solfront never receives your card details. Stripe's handling of this information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

3.2 What Solfront holds

Solfront's server (api.umbilical.app) holds two things for each subscription:

  1. the customer ID that Stripe assigned to you;
  2. whether the subscription is currently paid.

Solfront does not store your email address. When you sign in on another computer, you type your email address. The server uses it to find your customer ID at Stripe, sends a six-digit code to that address, and then discards the address. The address is not written to disk and is not kept after the code is sent.

3.3 What Solfront can see at Stripe

Solfront can open Stripe's dashboard and see the email address, the last digits of the card, and the payment history that Stripe holds for you. Solfront does this only to handle a refund or an enquiry from you. Solfront does not copy this information out of Stripe.

3.4 Retention

The customer ID and the paid status are kept while the subscription exists and are deleted within 12 months after it ends. To have them deleted earlier, write to the address in section 9. Deletion of the information Stripe holds is requested from Stripe through Link.

4. Disclosure to others

Stripe receives your payment information because it processes the payment, as described in section 3. No analytics provider, no advertising provider, no supplier of a third party software development kit and no other party receives information about you from this application or from Solfront.

5. Where your work is kept

Your cards, their input and output, and the application's log files are stored in the folder on your computer that you designated. They are not transmitted anywhere. Deleting the application leaves that folder in place; delete it yourself when it is no longer needed.

6. Network communication

The application does not report its state or send fault reports. Communication arises only in the following cases.

  1. The distributed build asks GitHub, every few hours, whether a newer version has been published. The request carries no information about you; Solfront receives nothing from it and keeps no record of it.
  2. If you have a subscription, the application contacts api.umbilical.app to send you a sign-in code and to confirm that the subscription is paid. What the server holds is described in section 3.
  3. A card you wrote calls an external service.
  4. You open a link from the application.

In cases 3 and 4 the connection is made directly from your computer to that party, and the handling of its contents is governed by that party's own privacy policy. Solfront can neither see nor receive it.

7. Minors

Solfront collects no information from free users of any age. For a subscription, section 3 applies.

8. Revisions to this policy

If this policy is revised, this page will be updated before the revision takes effect. The date of the latest revision is stated at the top.

本ポリシーにおいて「当方」とは Umbilical を提供する Solfront を、「お客様」とは本アプリケーションをご利用になる方をいいます。英語の本文はページ上部の言語の切り替えで表示できます。正は英語の本文であり、この日本語は英語からの翻訳です。記載に齟齬がある場合は英語の本文を優先します。

1. 基本方針

無料でご利用の場合、当方は、本アプリケーションを通じて、お客様に関するいかなる情報も取得いたしません。アカウントの登録、サインイン、利用状況の解析、当方によるクラッシュ情報の収集、広告の配信及び追跡のいずれも行っておりません。

有料のサブスクリプションをご契約の場合、当方は、お支払いの有無を知るために必要な最小限の情報を保有します。その内容は第3項に記載します。それ以外の定めは、無料・有料のいずれにも適用されます。

2. 無料でのご利用について取得する情報

ございません。氏名、メールアドレス、識別子、利用状況、作成されたデータの内容その他一切の情報を、いかなる方法によっても取得いたしません。

3. サブスクリプションについて保有する情報

決済は Stripe が処理します。お客様から見た売り手は、Stripe の決済サービスである Link です（「Sold through Link」と表示されます）。

3.1 Stripe が保有する情報

Stripe は、お客様のメールアドレス、支払い方法の情報及び支払いの履歴を保有します。当方がカード情報を受け取ることはありません。これらの情報の取扱いは Stripe のプライバシーポリシーの定めるところによります。

3.2 当方が保有する情報

当方のサーバ（api.umbilical.app）は、サブスクリプションごとに次の二つのみを保有します。

  1. Stripe がお客様に付与した顧客 ID
  2. サブスクリプションが現在支払われているかの状態

当方はメールアドレスを保存しません。別の機械でサインインされる際、お客様はメールアドレスを入力します。サーバはそのアドレスで Stripe の顧客 ID を照会し、当該アドレスへ6桁の数字を送信した後、アドレスを破棄します。アドレスはディスクに書き込まれず、送信後は保持されません。

3.3 当方が Stripe で閲覧できる情報

当方は Stripe の管理画面を開き、Stripe が保有するお客様のメールアドレス、カード番号の下数桁及び支払いの履歴を閲覧できます。これを行うのは、返金又はお客様からのお問い合わせに対応する場合に限ります。当方がこれらの情報を Stripe の外へ複製することはありません。

3.4 保管の期間

顧客 ID 及び支払いの状態は、サブスクリプションの存続中保管し、終了後12か月以内に消去します。それより前の消去をご希望の場合は、第9項の宛先までご連絡ください。Stripe が保有する情報の削除は、Link を通じて Stripe へご請求ください。

4. 第三者への提供

Stripe は、決済を処理するため、第3項のとおりお客様の支払いに関する情報を受け取ります。解析事業者、広告事業者、第三者のソフトウェア開発キットの提供者その他いかなる第三者に対しても、本アプリケーション又は当方からお客様に関する情報が提供されることはありません。

5. 作成されたデータの所在

カード、その入出力及び本アプリケーションのログは、お客様が指定されたお使いの機械上のフォルダに保存されます。これらが外部へ送信されることはありません。本アプリケーションを削除しても当該フォルダは残りますので、不要となった場合はお客様ご自身で削除してください。

6. 通信

本アプリケーションは、稼働状況の送信及び不具合の報告を行いません。通信が生じるのは次の場合に限られます。

  1. 配布版は、数時間ごとに、新しいバージョンが公開されているかを GitHub に確認します。この通信にお客様に関する情報は含まれません。当方はこの通信から何も受け取らず、記録もいたしません。
  2. サブスクリプションをご契約の場合、本アプリケーションは、サインインの数字の送信及び支払いの状態の確認のために api.umbilical.app と通信します。サーバが保有する内容は第3項のとおりです。
  3. お客様が作成されたカードが外部のサービスを呼び出す場合
  4. 本アプリケーションからリンクを開く場合

3 及び 4 の場合、お使いの機械から相手方へ直接接続されます。その内容の取扱いは相手方のプライバシーポリシーの定めるところによります。当方がこれを閲覧し、又は受領することはできません。

7. 未成年者について

当方は、無料でご利用の方からは、年齢を問わず情報を取得いたしません。サブスクリプションについては第3項が適用されます。

8. 本ポリシーの改定

本ポリシーを改定する場合には、改定の効力が生じる前に、本ページを更新いたします。改定の時期は冒頭の最終改定日に記載いたします。
